AccuLase-GPA is suitable for applications with a background matrix of up to 10% CO2.

AccuLase-GPA can only measure samples without condensable water.

What is ProTech903

ProTech903 is a process analyzer that uses a tape method to measure H2S, total sulfur, arsine, phosphine, phosgene, or chlorine in gas samples.

What parameters can ProTech903 measure?

ProTech903 can measure hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and/or total sulfur. ProTech903 can also be configured to measure arsine, phosphine, phosgene, or chlorine. 

How many sample streams can ProTech903 monitor?

ProTech903 can monitor up to 4 sample streams with the D2, D1, and CE models. 

How sensitive is the ProTech903 measurement of H2S?

ProTech903 can measure H2S with 5 ppb sensitivity.

AccuChrome GC is a process analyzer that uses thermal conductivity detector (TCD) gas chromatography to measure Btu and hydrocarbons in gas samples.

AccuChrome GC can measure a wide range of compounds such as Btu, Specific Gravity, Wobbe Index, Oxygen, CO, C6+, C7+, N2, Methane, CO2, Ethane, H2S, Propane, Iso-Butane, n-Butane, Iso-Pentane, n-Pentane, Neo-Pentane, and Hydrogen.

What is Brimstone?

Brimstone is a line of process analyzers that use a spectrophotometric method to measure H2S, SO2, COS, CS2 in sulfur recovery gas applications. Brimstone is used for acid gas, tail gas, and pit gas applications.

What type of measurement technique does Brimstone use?

Brimstone performs a broadband UV spectrophotometric measurement from 200 to 400 nm. This allows for maximum sensitivity while effectively compensating for interferences.

How is Brimstone installed?

Brimstone is close-coupled to the process pipe and provides in-line sulfur condensing with an efficient knockout temperature to minimize plugging. 

Where in the process can Brimstone be installed?

Brimstone can be mounted after the final condenser in the tail gas. Thanks to the analyzer’s robust sample system, Brimstone can also be installed upstream after the first condenser.

What is Brimstone’s response time?

Brimstone has a response time of ≤ 10 seconds.

What is AccuSeries-LPA?

AccuSeries-LPA is a process analyzer that measures the concentration of a specific analyte in liquid samples. AccuSeries-LPA performs titration, ion selective electrode, and colorimetric wet-chemistry methods.

What parameters can AccuSeries-LPA measure?

AccuSeries-LPA can measure acids, bases, metals, organics, ammonia species, sulfur species, and other compounds. AccuSeries-LPA can follow standard methods (e.g. ASTM, EPA, ISO) as well as follow laboratory SOP methods.

How many parameters can AccuSeries-LPA monitor with one analyzer?

AccuSeries-LPA can be configured for multi-parameter measurements. An example of 3 parameters would be the measurement of caustic, carbonate, and bicarbonate. 

How many streams can AccuSeries-LPA monitor with one analyzer?

AccuSeries-LPA can monitor up to 6 sample streams.

What is Monitek?

Monitek is a process analyzer that uses turbidimetric and photometric methods to measure turbidity, suspended solids (TSS), and color in liquid samples.

What parameters can Monitek measure?

Monitek analyzers can be configured to measure turbidity, suspended solids, and/or color. Turbidity can be measured using a forward scatter or side-scatter method. Suspended solids are measured using an infrared absorption method. Color is measured using a dual-wavelength photometric method. 

How many streams and parameters can one Monitek analyzer measure?

Monitek transmitters can be configured with multiple sensors for multi-streaming as well as multi-parameter measurements. Each configuration is application-specific.

What is ViscoSite?

ViscoSite is a process analyzer that uses a torsional-oscillation method to measure viscosity in liquid samples.

What parameters can ViscoSite measure?

ViscoSite measures viscosity with user-defined units (e.g. cP, mPas, cSt) following ASTM D1084. These measurements are performed with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) built into the sensor. Density compensation is available using an external densitometer reading or by manually entering in the value.

How many streams can one ViscoSite analyzer measure?

ViscoSite is a dedicated analyzer that uses one sensor to measure viscosity in a single sample.

What is FPA 4100?

FPA 4100 is a process analyzer that performs ultraviolet (UV) and visible (VIS) photometric measurements of gas and liquid samples. 

What parameters can FPA 4100 measure?

FPA 4100 can measure any compound that absorbs ultraviolet radiation or that can be detected in the visual spectrum. Examples of gas-phase measurements are hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2). Examples of liquid-phase measurements are unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. oil in water) and sodium hypochlorite.

David Haydt

When it comes to solving complex applications challenges for customers, David Haydt has built his stellar reputation as the “go-to guy” over his 28-year career at Galvanic. Dave joined the company in 1993 as an applications technician at Galvanic’s Calgary headquarters. From 1999 to early 2006, he served as a field-service technician based out of Houston, Texas, providing start-up assistance, field repair service, and training to Galvanic’s natural gas transmission, petrochemical and refining industry customers. In 2006, he was promoted to production manager for Galvanic’s gas-analysis products, overseeing all aspects – from design and development of tailored systems to meet the customer’s specific application needs to ensuring on-time delivery of products. In 2015 Dave assumed the role of R&D/applications manager, where he became responsible for Galvanic’s entire line of gas- and liquid-analysis products. In 2021 Dave was promoted to Vice President of Product Innovation. Dave is accountable for the evolution of Galvanic’s entire product portfolio.

Dave started his career as a laboratory analyst for Norwest Laboratories in Alberta, Canada. He holds a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from the University of Calgary.

Steve Aasen

An operations-focused executive with 20+ years of experience driving financial performance in technology-based multi-national companies, Steve Aasen joined Galvanic in late 2014 as director of finance. He came to Galvanic from General Dynamics Canada, Ltd, one of Canada’s largest and most-established defence system integrators, where he served for eight years as director of finance. Earlier, Steve was at Telvent North America, a leading Calgary-based IT and industrial-automation provider for pipeline and energy-utility companies. He started as divisional controller and ultimately served as the company’s chief financial officer. Steve received a bachelor of commerce degree in accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. He also earned a CMA Designation from the Society of Management Accountants.

Rene Aldana

A senior business executive with more than 20 years of management experience in the global oil & gas industry, Rene Aldana joined Galvanic as its CEO in June, 2018. Rene has extensive experience in strategic leadership, process automation, talent development, and M&A integration that will benefit the next chapter of Galvanic’s growth and progress. Before coming to Galvanic, Rene was the chief operating officer for ZCL Composites Inc., a TSX-listed composites manufacturing company serving the petroleum, water, and waste water industries. Previously, he was the managing director for Yokogawa Canada, a world leader in industrial process measurement and automation solutions. For 18 years prior, he served in a series of high-profile positions at Telvent, starting in customer service, followed by engineering project management, and culminating as vice president of its International Oil & Gas division. He has a bachelor’s of science in computer science from the Simon Fraser University in Canada, an executive MBA from the IE Business School in Spain, and an ICD.D designation from Canada’s Institute of Corporate Directors. Rene is fluent in English, Spanish (native), and Portuguese.
